Basic goals and tasks of the APPRM are:

- Consistent implementation of the Constitution and Laws of the Republic of Macedonia, international treaties which are ratified by the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, and strengthening of the rule of law principles.

- Strengthening and promotion of the social status and reputation of the profession Public Prosecutor

- Striving for consistent implementation and improvement of the professional standards and interests of the Public Prosecutors

- Active relation and participation in the projects intended for reforms in the legal system of the Republic of Macedonia, especially of the criminal law.

- Undertaking of activities for continuing education and professional training of the Public Prosecutors

- Undertaking of activities for upgrading of technical and technological conditions for work of the Public Prosecutors

- Development and promotion of co-operation between the members of the APPRM

- Co-operation with other associations in the Republic of Macedonia and co-operation and exchange of experiences with associations from other countries

- International affirmation and co-operation of the APPRM in the International Association of Prosecutors and other International associations
