On 28 April 2005, for the first time in Republic of |Macedonia, with the video conference was realized victim- witnesses of the Republic of Moldavia, in the Court procedure in front of the competence court in the Republic of Macedonia against accuse persons for criminal act Human Trafficking article 418-a, from Criminal Code. This way of hearing of the victim is based on the fact that Republic of Macedonia, had sign and ratified Convention on international legal help in the criminal matters, the first additional Protocol of the same (28th of July, 1999) as well as the second additional Protocol which is sign on 8th November, 2001 and ratified by the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia during 2003, in which in article 9 is predict the possibilities of hearing in a way of video conference. The same according article 295 -a from the Law on criminal procedure the witness or expert can be heard by telephone or video conference when the person is in territory of another state, and than will be used the amendments of the self law of the Criminal procedure and the amendments of the second additional protocol of the European convention for international legal assistance in the criminal matters. For the entire period during the preparation for this, was included representative of SEEPAG from Republic of Macedonia, which was communicated with the authorities from Ministry of interior, Ministry of justice, SECI Center and competence court of the Republic of Macedonia and the Public prosecutor of Republic of Macedonia submitted written request to the General Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Moldavia for hearing of the victim- witnesses by video conference. After the main hearing there was a positive comments from all the present persons that this procedure was welcome with the fact for a very successful possibility for ending the court procedure.
